A handful of The Wedding Standard Artists wanted to get a first hand experience of Laura's tour so we loaded up eager to see what she had planned for us. It was a perfect day to say the least.

Claiborne & Churchill Winery

Claiborne & Churchill Winery  was our first stop on the tour. Located in Edna Valley, Clairborne and Churchill is a small, premium family-owned winery , founded in 1983 by Claiborne (Clay) Thompson and Fredericka Churchill Thompson.  The winery is known for their unique Gewurtztraminer and Reisling. The tasting room is an experience where guests get to see the day to day wine making, with stacks of wine barrels directly behind them as they sip and become educated on each one of the wines. Elizabeth Churchill, daughter of winemakers told us, "We have had members with us for 30+ years! Some of them will be with us at our upcoming 35 year anniversary party!" Within the short hour we were there, we felt right at home, and well taken care of.

Talley Vineyards

Heading east of the Pacific Ocean we arrived at Talley Vineyards, located in Arroyo Grande. Talley Vineyards is a family owned winery, known for their welcoming atmosphere and wines that reflect their honest approach to wine making.  The grounds were stunning, including views of the surrounding Rincon Vineyard, and Talley Farm vegetable fields. Starting in the Tasting room with our first splash of their well loved Estate Chardonnay we learned about the  vision of the winery and how their wines are made to authentically express the flavors of the grapes grown as well as their desire to continue using sustainable farming practices. Shortly after, we headed out for a tour of the facility, getting a first hand look at the hard work and love that goes into each wine.  From their delicious Estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, to their amazing hospitality, Talley is a must on your 101 Wine Tours adventure.

Biddle Ranch Winery

Our last stop on the tour was Biddle Ranch Winery, a small batch, handcrafted, old world style winery that has so much to offer. Their grounds are refined and curated for a more than pleasing environment. The 4 partners that own the winery say it best, "Biddle Ranch has always been about the simple indulgence of drinking a great wine in a beautiful place with the people we love." While you can't go wrong with any of the wines here, Biddle Ranch is well known for their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. We were seated outdoor where a picnic would be the perfect option to bring along with you as the winery will provide the rest. Next to the winery is their Vineyard House available for family gatherings, corporate events, weddings, and more. We could of all hunkered down in this cozy space after an amazing day of wine tasting.
