bride and groom

San Luis Obispo Photograher Blake Andrews of SLOtography shared this bohemian Flying Caballos wedding with us. Take a look at the beautiful photos and get to know the happy couple Brittni and Zoli a bit more.

"Two completely sweet souls, surrounded by family & friends that are completely devoted to them...it's no wonder their wedding celebration was 100% beautiful. Please take a few more minutes to check out some of the highlights from their day, below..." - Blake Andrews

GIRL MEETS BOY!

The first time I saw Zoli I was moving into my apartment in San Diego. He saw my grandpa and I trying to carry my kitchen table and rushed over to help, what a nice guy I thought.  After accidentally (intentionally) running into each other in the courtyard we finally stopped to have a chat. Zoli told me a joke and had me laughing so hard I cried. It took months of playing "cat and mouse" until we were an official couple. After a couple years we were positive that we wanted to spend our lives together and decided to move up to the Central Coast (where Zoli was born and raised). Our proposal was magical! We were backpacking on the West Coast Trail covered in mud and sweat and Zoli dropped a knee, I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting for us.

"We decided that one day to celebrate our marriage just wasn't enough so we decided to make it a weekend of family, friends and food! We had our rehearsal/welcome dinner catered Friday and invited all the guests to meet and get to know each other. Most of our wedding party stayed with us overnight and we hung out by the campfire and went in the hot tub which was the perfect setting for us to get ready for the big day. We closed the celebration with family and friends with a Sunday BBQ at the Ranch and said our goodbyes."

WEDDING PLANNING INSPIRATION

Our main focus for our wedding was creating a fun atmosphere for our guests from the moment they arrived until they left. We had a full bar with beverages & snacks, lawn games, a self serve Tinker Tin beer trailer and photo booth. Plus a flower crown station, to fit our boho theme, for anyone who wanted to adorn themselves.

THE DETAILS

Our #1 thing that we looked forward to was the dance party! We made sure that there were enough sandals for everyone to kick their shoes off and get weird! We were also really proud and excited about the food. The difference is in the details & Trumpet Vine Catering did not disappoint! The dinner was perfect! They even set up an appetizer station with Olive Oil tastings & a chef attended Himalayan salt block station with steak & ahi. The presentation of everything was incredible and tasted ah-mazing, people still talk about our wedding food!

COLOR PALETTE

We kept it really simple with white, rose gold, and a touch of blue, since we had our blue velvet wing back chairs (passed down from our Grandparents). Lastly we had the bright yellow Flying Caballos house in the backdrop.

RADDEST WEDDING VENDORS

Blake Andrews- SLOtography. He is a true artist! After seeing his work we knew that we would be lucky if he was available on our wedding day! We scheduled a meeting & from the first time we met him we felt like we had been friends for years, super awesome and easy going guy! Trumpet Vine Catering- I cant say enough about them. From the owner Jenny and Manager, Gayle's, attentiveness to the quality (and quantity) of staff day-of. The presentation of food, bar, appetizers and post party taco stand was beyond our expectations. Clover & Branch- I had NO CLUE as to what I wanted but I knew I wanted it to be creative, unique and wild. Carrie took the time to sit down with me to get my style and budget, then used her artistic talent to create the perfect ambiance. I love that she used raw cotton and funky wild branches. She thought of every detail from the flower crown station to the color scheme.  She even matched some of the flowers on the tables to the color of figs in the salad & went out of her way to buy special gold vases for the arrangements to match our gold utensils. Kevin Rice- He is so FUN & kept our party alive until the very end. Tinker Tin's trailer was one of our favorite pieces of decor! They even set up a boho style lounge outside their (adorable) photo booth to match our theme. Flying Caballos Ranch was the perfect spot for us. We decided that one day to celebrate our marriage just wasn't enough so we decided to make it a weekend of family, friends and food! We had our rehearsal/welcome dinner catered there Friday and invited all the guests to meet and get to know each other. Most of our wedding party stayed with us overnight and we hung out by the campfire and went in the hot tub which was the perfect setting for us to get ready for the big day. We closed the celebration with family and friends with a Sunday BBQ at the Ranch and said our goodbyes. We then enjoyed our first night as a married couple alone and enjoyed the entire property under the stars, it was magical!
