With Halloween just around the corner, a spooky kind of love has slowly crept into the beautiful San Luis Obispo Wedding Venue, Villa Loriana

In this photoshoot with skeleton and vampire lovers, you can feel the eeriness of Halloween, and shivers slowly travel up your spine. Designed by San Luis Obispo wedding planner Mark Dillon Luna Events, this shoot gathered inspiration from Día de Muertos to turn the Italian-inspired villa with rolling lawns and castle structures into something magical. The beautiful photographs were captured by Alma Erika Photography.

Take a glimpse if you dare as planner Mark shares some insight into the shoot!

The Inspiration

"My design inspiration came from the mexican culture as well as Filipino culture as we celebrate those who have gone before us In the afterlife. Some of the flowers used in the bouquet like marigolds In Mexico, the flower is called the cempasuchitl. The name is derived from Aztec origins and roughly translates to the “flower of many petals.”the color from these bright flowers create a path from the afterlife for loved who’s have departed to come back and visit. The skull makeup represents the ones who have passed before us."

The Details

"A detail that I was excited about was celebrating culture and heritage."
