There's nothing sweeter than a romantic vintage barn wedding. Jared and Jacey can both attest to that, as they had tied the knot at the rustic yet extravagant San Luis Obispo wedding venue, Dana Powers House. Filled with bright colors and eye-catching florals, their wedding day was nothing but a dream, all captured by the amazing Central Coast photographer Holley Elizabeth. I had the pleasure of interviewing the bride, Jacey, about her special day.

Keep scrolling to the charming details.

Their Love Story

"We met at a party at the end of Jacey's senior year of high school and spent the summer falling in love before we had to spend a year and a half long distance while Jacey went to college in Monterey, Ca and Jared in Montana. We couldn't spend anymore time apart so love brought Jacey to be with Jared in Montana. We always knew from the beginning we would be together forever and Jared got down on one knee on Christmas Eve at Jacey's grandparents house. Now, five years later we have finally graduated college and finalized our love for each other by getting married."

The Details

"I was most excited about dancing all night with my favorite people and have it all captured by our photographer and videographer!"

Memorable Moments

"I will always remember how blown away by all beautiful flowers that our florist set up. She really surprised me and brought my dream to light. I will also remember how our DJ played the best music and had everyone on the dance floor all night long."

Knowing what you know now... what advice would you have for other brides planing their wedding?

"Make sure to experience everything with your new husband! Jared and I made sure we went to the photo booth together, went to the bar and ordered our signature drinks together, dance together, and constantly looked at each other throughout the night and now we share a lot of the same memories and I enjoyed it more with him."

What was the most challenging part about planning your wedding?

"The most challenging part was finding good vendors in the area because I wasn't there. As I found vendors they would recommend more people they liked to work with. Being from the Central Valley and not from the area I loved how The Wedding Standard really helped me find vendors in the area and I could see their work. It helped me bring together the best team."
