We love the way Amanda Holder Events tells the story of this day, weaving in the details of the design to the history of the stunning San Luis Obispo venue, The Penny! Enjoy.

"We met Nicky and James during the pandemic and promised to make all their intimate wedding dreams come true! Their wedding was attended by guests from coast to coast, so we included all of the pretty things to make an exceptional experience for both this sweet couple and their people. With The Penny SLO as our backdrop, we went for a romantic, industrial vibe in various shades of lavender with marble and silver accents; we love a unique color palette! (Fun fact, this was actually our team's first event at this venue, and we quickly found there is so much to love). Constructed in the 1930's to house a blacksmith shop, the building's historic aesthetic showcases original architecture, exposed brick, and industrial finishes with modern fixtures and decor! Adding a live band to an industrial setting completed the picture with an old-fashioned feel to an otherwise very modern and trendy wedding. Nicky and James danced the night away with their guests to the exciting tunes from Lucky Devils Band, one of our personal favorites! San Luis Obispo Photographer Yvonne Goll knocked these photos out of the park, no surprise there, showcasing our gorgeous design work, Flowers by Kim's draping and florals, All About Events' and Avenue Twelve's complimentary rentals, Fete & Quill's custom signage, and fabulous food from Field to Table. If you ask us, we had an all-star team who spared no expense to make Nicky and James' fairytale wedding dreams come true!"
