Jordan and Madi became Mr. and Mrs. Hines on a beautiful day at the San Luis Obispo wedding venue Greengate Ranch and Vineyard. Full of lovely blooming florals, lavender and neon color tones, and elegantly chic signage, saying their wedding was spectacular would be an understatement. Their entire day was put on by San Luis Obispo event designer's Lovelyfest, who helped execute and design the day as well as search for incredible local vendors to put Madi and Jordan's ideas to life - including their innovative lighting and decor, delectable desserts and striking signage details. Austin photographer Jenna Routh captured every amazing detail.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Madi about the special day. Keep scrolling to see the dazzling details!

The Inspiration

"We had a pretty clear vision of our wedding day from the beginning and LovelyFest was able to put everything together to make it more than what we could have imagined! It was a lot of disco balls, iridescent and lavender colors with a splash of neon. We had the best time planning and so much fun with Natalie, Steph and their whole team of vendors they put together!"

Color Palette

"We chose a bright white with lavender! Hydrangeas were the biggest color inspiration we drew from!"

Their Love Story

"I met Jordan my Sophomore year; we had a few mutual friends and one class! We were both attending Cal Poly, I am local to the area but Jordan was from San Diego. One of our friends started bringing him around and about a year later we started dating! We have been together for 8 years now, married for 3! Our proposal was special; we were living in Dallas at the time; I was getting my masters and Jordan was going to school to become a Chiropractor. We were going to dinner at the Reunion Tower, Jordan was so nervous, he proposed before we event had a chance to order. We celebrated withe some champagne, courtesy of the staff, but were so excited to tell our family and friends, we left pretty quickly to head home and start FaceTiming everyone. What I didn't know was Jordan had coordinated for my family to come out to Dallas and surprise us in our apartment when we returned from dinner. Because we were heading back much earlier than expected, my family had to rush to get ready and decorate the apartment! In order to not giveaway the surprise, none of them answered my calls so when I got home I was sad I couldn't get a hold on anyone but when I walked through the door and saw them all, I was so stunned and excited and forgave them all immediately for not answering! One year later, we got married in SLO with all of our favorite people and now have two daughters!"

The Details

"We were most excited that we had picked a venue that was local so almost all of our family and friends were able to make it and celebrating with our favorite people was one of the most important things! Second, we were so excited to see the florals come together. Carla had done some mock ups that had us so excited and the altar made with cascading hydrangeas that color faded was insanely beautiful!"

Memorable Moments

"We have a million nieces and nephews, which the number has quadrupled since then, but having them in our wedding was so sweet and special and they loved dressing up! We had so much fun on the dance floor and were able to let it continue at the after party and we love getting a bit longer with everyone!"

Knowing what you know now... what advice would you have for other brides planing their wedding?

"We loved our photographer Jenna, she captured everything so perfectly that we wont forget event the smallest details. We were lucky to have someone that made all the photos feel like us and something we love to go back and look at!"

What was the most challenging part about planning your wedding?

"Waiting for the day to get there, it takes so much time planning and waiting! LovelyFest alleviated much if not all of our stress!"
